Investigating and arresting violent criminals is the job of the local police , FBI etc. Ice is Immigration and customs enforcement , they enforce immigration laws, not violent crime laws.
The guy was sort of getting at that by calling illegally crossing a misdemeanor but didn't drive home that that's all they're arresting people for and that all those examples the guy was giving of the horrible crimes of migrants were probably investigated and arrested by local police, not ICE.

Did you read the article, it's from an independent researcher about AI being an attack vector, not an article from an AI company about using it to aid in attacks. If anything this hurts the credibility of AI
There's plenty of competition in the US auto market, both from US, Japanese and European brands.
The difference is these cars are either made in the US or in countries with similar enough wages. Even cars made in mexico are required to have a $16 minimum wage as part of USMCA.
China is on a different level and allowing them to sell cars here without restrictions would cause a race to the bottom for wages in the auto sector, pushing back a lot of wins the UAW has gotten recently.
If they want to sell cars here they should get the same deal as mexico, require a minimum wage and labor standards.
Fundamentally it all comes down to wages, US workers can't compete with Chinese workers who will do the same job for far less.
Even on the benefits side all of what you listed above and more is common for auto workers in the US because they have an independent union, and even the workers who are not in the union get the same benefits as the manufacturers compete for workers. Meanwhile independent unions are not allowed in China so they're at the mercy of the employers and the CCP. Granted the CCP does seem to care about workers more then the US government, neither care nearly as much as the UAW.

Trumps wealthy donors don't want him going after the extractive industries that are actually causing disease so they sent him on this quest to find the mythical environmental cause for autism.
He's also surrounded and supported by rich white people who think this is the most pressing "epidemic" because it effects them. They don't care about the poor black people getting poisoned in cancer Alley because they never see them, meanwhile they see karen and her autistic son who she's ashamed of every day.

I'm building Stakswipe, a mobile Lemmy client with a swipe-to-vote UI. One of the problems I ran into was the anonymous feed — when you're not logged in, you need to pick an instance to connect to upfront, and that choice matters more than most people realise. Rather than just guessing or defaulting to lemmy.world, I wanted to objectively measure which instances give the best view of lemmy for someone browsing without an account. I put together a benchmarking script that tests the top 20 instances by monthly active users and scores them.
It's worth noting that some instances defederate from others or block certain communities, and that's completely fine — it's one of Lemmy's strengths. Communities and instances should be able to self-govern and set their own norms. These rankings aren't a judgment on any instance's moderation choices; they're purely about federation breadth and visibility of all that lemmy has to offer for a general anonymous feed.
For each instance × sort combination, I fetched posts anonymously until I hit a quality floor suited to that sort's algorithm:
Every post has a canonical ActivityPub ID (ap_id). The script builds a universe — the union of all unique posts seen across all instances for a given sort. An instance's ability to surface that universe is what is measured.
Each instance is scored across four metrics, then the scores are normalized against the best performer and combined:
