It's not enough sure, but it's heartening to see we're at least gaining something from the mess down south.

Finally watched it the other day and I still giggle thinking about a few of the gags.

And I've been trying to think of the last similarly funny movie. Hundreds of Beavers comes to mind, hence the mainstream studio qualifier.

Obviously, comedy is subjective so I'm sure there are some with which I'll disagree but curious to hear your thoughts!

"All we did was rip up agreements we signed causing job losses, accused you of poisoning our people with fentanyl (despite shipping more of it to Canada than vice versa) and threaten your national sovereignty! What's the big deal?"

Back in the day, shooters etc wrote lengthy manifestos.

I think they've realized that these days no one is going to read a full length manifesto so it's better to note their thoughts in...

Bullet point.

(Sorry.)

For the 'Carney is basically just Poilievre' Crowd, a look at Poilievre's proposed legislation (note: this from about a month ago)

I've seen this take that Carney is just as bad as Poilievre more than a few times. And while Carney may not be as Green as some had hoped for but my goodness, the difference between him and Poilievre is staggering.

Figured it's worth posting the legislation that Poilievre put forward in August which includes removing pipeline regulations, scrapping the West Coast oil-tanker ban; killing the industrial carbon tax; eliminating the electric vehicle mandate and reversing the single-use plastics ban.

I finished doing dishes and turned to see my lil void staring plaintively up at me.

She's a good manager, always on top of the organization's needs and priorities, as long as they are defined as whether she needs food or is owed skritches.

The older I get, the more I think the propaganda machine was to get people really riled up about very niche issues so as to stop the progressive left from being able to enact real, meaningful change.

If I'm an oil exec, a sweatshop owner or anyone exploiting the third world, I'd be thanking jesus for modern first world social justice. Instead of implementing broadly popular policies to save millions of lives, we're screaming online about whether a tiny fraction of some of the richest people who have ever lived should play sports in high school or not.

Admittedly, "hey Janet, can you jump into the kitty crate and pretend to cry for a half a sec for views" is probably not the child abuse situation outlined above.

I fucking hate it but wr do have a generation of not even influencers, but casual social media parents looming for a funny angle to send their friends and social networks etc.

Ehhhh, South Park punches above and below the belt. It's like last episode, spending so much time on trump's itry bitty penis.

Her shooting every dog wasn't super relevant to her policy positions or the inherent evil of ICE but damned if it wasn't funny as hell.

Seriously, so goddamn creepy. You know the two of them called their underage girls mysteries/riddles/etc.

But I understand how a TypeScript or Java dev could think that the difference between 1 and 4 bytes is negligible.

Shots fired.

This really just seems like "I want to complain about .ml" with extra steps.

I don't care for them, so I don't go there.

Open source projects will be used for things of which you approve and of which you do not, that is life.

I saw a post on an asylum offer which is related but this peace broker offer cracked me up, figured I'd share. Sorry if it's too similar to the other one!

This has been tried and repealed in a lot of other places. If memory serves, it also led to a significant increase in homicides. (If there's no difference between robbery and murder, there is no incentive to leave witnesses.)

And Trailer Park Boys notwithstanding, it's not like the usual addict criminal is really thinking "well, I'll only get a couple years, no biggie" before committing a crime.

Seriously?!? What funds was he holding? Almost all of them exploded during Biden's term! Fox News is a hell of a drug.

Republicans have majorities in both houses, if they can't pass a spending bill, that's on them.
