I randomly saw a tweet saying that the USA would run out of oil by April 15. Obviously I have no idea if this is accurate. (The USA currently imports 10% of its oil from West Asia.) But...what if it is accurate? Or what if the USA runs out of oil in a few months instead? Will we see bread riots, a possible revolution, or capitulation to Iran?

I randomly imagined an officers' coup where the military and some bourgeoisie cut their losses and agree to Iran's proposals, withdrawing the US military from West Asia, paying reparations for the war and decades of sanctions, and purchasing oil from the region in yuan. In this scenario, the USA continues to exist but is severely weakened, and the ruling class has to figure out how to sell things to China in order to get yuan to purchase oil. It's basically Neo-Weimar / American Weimar / Weimar USA. "Israel" vanishes and 90%+ of its settler population somehow makes its way back to western countries.

I know this is a wildly optimistic scenario. I'm just spitballing. How do you imagine things shaking out over the next few months?

I'm a writer, I've traditionally published and self-published a bunch of books. Maybe about a year ago I decided to write a novel very similar to The Housemaid, which is a about a homeless girl who ends up working as a maid for a billionaire. I don't think that novel is very good, but it's extremely popular and I liked the premise, so I thought: what if the billionaire was Jeffrey Epstein? I finished the novel and sent it to my agent and have been revising it with him for the last two months or so. At the moment, it's too long, at about 132,000 words. I've spent the last few days cutting a lot of political asides and digressions (twenty pages of them so far!), both on the part of the main character and the billionaire pedophile character. I'm worried I'm going to have to cut out a lot more.

The story of the novel is: a homeless 19-year-old girl answers a job ad to work as a maid in a billionaire's mansion. She gets the job and basically ends up working as the nanny for the young son. The billionaire owner of the mansion seduces her and she agrees to be his side-chick. The billionaire is not exactly the same as Epstein (he's younger and very handsome, he has a wife and kids, Ghislaine Maxwell didn't really make it into this novel, he's descended from Georgians rather than Jews) but he also has a lot in common with him (interest in eugenics, being a fixer, world domination). After befriending the son, the homeless girl maid finds out that the billionaire has children locked in his basement, and that he uses them to "get dirt on" other billionaires and world leaders, who have sex with them. The maid decides that she's going to find a way to free them.

In an effort to escape his wife, who knows about his affairs, the billionaire takes the maid to an island he owns in the Caribbean. One night he falls asleep, and the maid uses his hand to unlock his phone, steal millions of dollars from him, and also find the passcode for the dungeon on the island. She sneaks out and frees a couple of young Ukrainian girls who were locked in the dungeon there, and manages to get them to safety in a hotel on another island. She sneaks back into bed before he wakes up and discovers his missing Ukrainians. He spends days using the police and military in an effort to find them, but fails. They manage to sail away in a sailboat. (I'm leaving out a lot of details in this plot summary.) He never discovers who stole his captives.

Feeling glum, he returns to his original mansion with the maid. She purchases some guns and frees the kids in his basement, locking him and his family (minus his son) in the dungeon. She gets the captives to an AirBnB, but then decides to return to the mansion and steal all of the billionaire's money at gunpoint in order to destroy him and capitalism itself, since he and his wife are some of the richest people on Earth. She succeeds in doing this, transferring the money into a cryptocurrency account, but as she's leaving, another maid at the house finds her and knocks her out. She wakes up tied to a chair. The billionaire and his wife try to get their money back, but the other maid kills them in a fit of jealousy, then frees the main character and runs off just as the police show up and arrest the main character. She gets thrown in jail on suspicion of murdering the two billionaires, but because she stole hundreds of billions of dollars from them, the stock market crashes and the AI running the jail breaks down and opens all the doors, setting the prisoners free. The maid sets out to help the captives she left in the AirBnB. The end.

So this is supposed to be a mystery/thriller, but it has a leftwing political slant: the billionaire controls the police and both major political parties, the main character hates the police and landlords, etc. It's more like a fantasy in a lot of ways. But the parallels to Epstein are obvious. I did a lot of research on his island, for instance, so the island in the novel is very similar to the real thing. Here's the issue: is this ethical? If this novel became a success, would I be profiting from the misery Epstein inflicted on all his many victims? I just started reading Virginia Giuffre's memoir (may she rest in peace) and it's one of the most disturbing books I've ever encountered. I seriously felt physically ill within maybe fifteen minutes of starting this book. The real thing is far more disturbing than the fantasy I concocted. At the same time, this might seem unbelievable, but Giuffre is clearly a liberal. Her favorite TV show is Law and Order. She seems to believe in the police as well as the system that "failed" her and so many other people just like her so many times and in so many different appalling ways. I still have to read a lot here, but my guess is that she thinks that everything related to Epstein is somehow isolated from Western society and not inherent to it. I saw a post on hexbear yesterday about how there's going to be a TV show or something about the journalists investigating Epstein, and that's bound to be libshit too.

So is it ethical for me to have this novel published? Or is it actually my duty to write what could be a popular work of fiction that squarely points its finger at Epstein, both political parties, the government, and Western society itself?

Explanations I've seen:

  • to drive up oil / gas prices (the problem is that the prices are too high, which accelerates the global green energy revolution and the end of the fossil fuel industry while destabilizing western "society"; successfully seizing Iran's oil would have presumably lowered prices too);

  • Trump's ego, bolstered by Maduro's kidnapping and the seemingly successful counter-revolution in Venezuela; the imperial ruling class thought they were invincible because they haven't suffered a really palpable defeat since Vietnam (I guess Afghanistan / Yemen doesn't count...);

  • to protect the Zionist entity and the Gulf Monarchies and also to shore up American influence in the region;

  • to slow China's rise (Iran supplies lots of China's fossil fuels);

  • a distraction from the Epstein files;

  • lots of powerful ghouls have been itching to do this since 1979;

  • to stop Iran's nonexistent nuclear weapons program;

  • to game the stock market.

Did I miss anything? What are the most plausible / implausible explanations? Are they all valid? I'm not sure, I'm asking because I want comments / critiques. Also, are we headed to a permanent nationwide blackout in the USA (as predicted by The Simpsons) and the Mad Max-ification of all but the top 10% or will things "go back to normal"? Or will this just become another Ukraine War?

Bonus Q: how are the libs and chuds you know reacting to the war? My spouse thinks that Iran is currently winning but the USA will eventually prevail 🥴

Wondering how much of this is legitimate brain damage versus the teachers just being assholes. And maybe both students and teachers are brain-damaged? Toward the beginning there’s a purple-haired white woman teaching an eighth grade history class, and she has some pretty disturbing anecdotes about students being unable to follow very simple instructions. But I also just noticed that her anecdotes featured the US constitution…and so if I’m a student in her class, what are the consequences for mentioning that this is a document written by slave-owners? She seems nice enough but also still just part of the machine.

I worked as a teacher for years and in my limited experience, teachers tend to be libs who are nonetheless more open to actual leftwing ideas than most. I live in a very white but lib area.

Sorry, had this on my mind for awhile. Epstein might still be alive and gaming in Tel Aviv, but even if he's dead, his spirit is very much alive.

Like the worst these people have to deal with is resigning from "leading" their BS nonprofits. Some government officials had to resign from their positions in Europe. All of these people had 99% of their work done by their secretaries anyway, guaranteed. They still keep their mansions, servants, gourmet food, personal trainer rent-a-friends, endless money, and private jets. They still go on TV every day and talk for hours about how smart they are with interviewers who play right along with them. They sleep well. They feel good. In private, their friends and family are reassuring them that it's all a bunch of nonsense and eventually the brainless masses will forget it ever happened. Meanwhile, if I drive five MPH over the speed limit, I could get pulled over and end up surrendering the day's wages to the pigs (or worse). If I lose my job, I can look forward to months or years of unemployment and possible homelessness.

Someone said that one difference between the rich and poor now is that the rich do stuff, while the poor can only watch. I have known about Epstein for seven fucking years. I remember where I was when he died (I was working for his fucking billionaire friends). All this new information about Epstein is great, but it doesn't really change the fundamentals, which have been public knowledge for many years now. People who are interested in Epstein spend hours going through the files and talking about it...and that's it. No further action. No organizing. Nothing that really scares the bourgeoisie. Because even if Epstein is dead, his spirit is very much still alive, and maybe even stronger than ever. These fuckers really have us by the throat, otherwise the riots would be nonstop and omnipresent, and there would be vanguard parties seizing territory and power.

My take away from this is that it wasn’t the genocide, it wasn’t even his shitty debate performance, it was fucking covid that pushed this asshole over the edge. A small amount of justice for all the people who are suffering and dying from this terrible disease that Biden for years has simply been ignoring.

Liberals have never forgiven wikileaks for showing American soldiers celebrating the deaths of civilians, and during Obama’s presidency no less! “But do you mean to say that the adults in the room murder people for money? But that’s absurd! That would mean that American society is just run by a glorified psychotic mafia! And that I’ve been helping them commit mass murder my entire life!”

Tens of thousands of Korean slave laborers died in those nuclear blasts my man. The USA has never given a fuck about helping anyone who wasn’t bourgeois. They dropped the bombs to warn the Soviets to stay out. Try to read history that wasn’t written by Nazi apologists.

I was honestly not excited about federation and still think we will be de-federated within hours (is that possible?) because liberals cannot stand being so consistently embarrassed by Marxists BUT I will say that a major factor in my radicalization was finding r/chapotraphouse years ago back on reddit. For every lib we dunk on, others will start to wonder and ask questions and even laugh along with communist jokes (by far the funniest on the internet). Liberalism actually has an extremely limited appeal, the democrats excite almost no one, and it’s true that some of their more lukewarm supporters just don’t know that you can fight liberalism without being a fucking nazi.
