Does it work well?

Genuinely wondering.

Do the dutch people think it works well?

Digital signatures might be required to prove your age. Then spoofing won't do the trick.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Yeah, this is kind of on you.

If you spend your money on a "smart" toothbrush, expect it to do "smart" stuff.

That 12 month source statement is real funky

Yeah, same to you!

I don't like having to configure every detail of my computing experience. I like to be able to do so though. And that's part of what makes me love NixOS. Most things can be enabled with a service.<whatever>.enable = true and it is installed and set up with very sane defaults. Essentially what other maintainers do, only that you had to decide you wanted that service to begin with.

And for boring stuff like networking or whatever, I haven't made many desicions my self. That just came with the default config from my base install. I brought them with me as I evolved it, and as long as I don't need anything else, I won't be changing it either.

But yeah, I very much understand why someone would not want to use NixOS. It is great for those who like it and hell for those who just wants a set and forget system :)

Man blir ju nyfiken på vilken nytta de 500 miljonerna hade kunnat göra på att rusta upp järnvägen om de hamnat där istället för på fossilt bränsle.

Just found this album and I really like it.

It is electronic funk with a lot of talkbox and good stuff.

I especially recommend listening to the track "Fnktrp".

I bought an old Pioneer turntable to get started playing records.

Now I wonder, what type of cartridge is this? And can I upgrade it? Or do I just get a new cartridge?

How can I tell if the stylus is in good shape or not?

I appreciate any answers.

To be clear; I just want to learn and understand more and also understand my options going forward :)

  1. You can't have unbiased AI without unbiased training data.
  2. You can't have unbiased training data without unbiased humans.
  3. unbiased humans don't exist.

If I am not mistaken, there is a "don't show me this offer again" thingy somewhere.

But as others have mentioned, it is a free service. And most importantly, this free service does not collect your data or show targrted ads to make a profit off of you when you don't pay. It is truly free. I think being asked to pay for the service is extra okay because of this.

Situations like these are the strength of the fediverse. Move your account to an instance that shares your values or doesn't care about stuff like this.

Maybe you shouldn't even have had your account on the largest server to begin with?

Edit: Didn't mean to ridicule any of you all. I based my comment on my experience when I signed up. At that time there were plenty of instances to pick from and getting approved at my instance of choice was very quick. My bad.
