seeing the nazis and thinking "ah yes the problem is ideas and not the fact these ideas suck"
This is a major component of rhetoric whitewashing the depravity of Nazis.
it wasn't that their ends were inherently violent and deleterious to human wellbeing. What really made them bad was simply how badly they wanted it. My proof: the Soviets were also evil no freedom muh gulag and they wanted things badly too.
well saying the nazis were bad because they wanted to kill millions of people and it's wrong to murder is taking a moral stance. A defining feature of modern liberalism is moral nihilism and nazis being as they are disingenuous little shits are all to happy to weaponise and manipulate this nihilism to advocate that nazism should be allowed
