Thats awesome! Sounds like a similar style move would be something I could shoot for in a few years when im more stable.
Ya! The custodians at my school now are very calm and while they work hard, they have plenty of time to rest and catch their breath. It's a nice rythmic job with a clear routine and expectations, and the environment is not soulcrushing like a hospital. At the same time, there is a lot of passing social interaction with students and staff and silly things happen so it's not completely monotonous. You could think about it once you're ready for really any amount of job! Too clarify, I jumped straight from engineering into being a substitute teacher and went from that to more permanent positions as a paraeducator.
