Sounds like the writer just doesn't like Fzero and won't say it, hasn't the health/boost mechanic always been the selling point? It sounds hilariously zoomer to complain "I hit the go fast button and explode, why can't I go fast always, game?" The attention span problem is getting out of hand.
I'm a zoomer that considers F-Zero the best pre-3d racing games. Mario Kart on the SNES borders on unplayable to me. This guy is just mad that he didn't get Mario Kart 99, even though that is a terrible idea. 100 people with items on Nintendo netcode? Okay then
If Nintendo actually made Mario Kart 99, the article's writer would still be complaining because it'd probably be based on MK SNES lol
As he should, SNES Mario Kart is ass
