They waited like 10 minutes. Football is more important than human life obviously

This is why I hate football. No hate for most average fans, but many of the football people I knew practically made it a religion, and I hated that. I recognize that it can be appreciated in a healthy fashion, but I will not be partaking.

Also hate for most average fans tbh, football shouldn't exist

I have more beef with the sport than the fans. It's hella dangerous for people involved, and people rarely come out of it without permanent injuries or health problems. But the average fan is distanced from that part and don't think about it as much.

I have about as much regard for a football fan as someone who enjoyed the Roman coliseum and seeing slaves get mauled by tigers. It's the modern equivelant

I feel that more about fighting sports. MMA and boxing can get really brutal, and I can't watch them.

I'd have to go back and look at the exact statistic, but IIRC it's something like football had more deaths on the field in the last decade than all combat sports combined for the last 100 years. Like your son is more likely to die playing high school football than he is getting deliberately punched/kicked in the head (not that minors should be doing combat sports).

This is true of every past time. You think fans of Magic or DnD or whatever nerd shit people here prefer don’t demonstrate absolutely bizarre anti-social behaviour over their hobby. Now you say “I didn’t say they didn’t” well you singled out this other thing as having this quality which implies being exceptional in this regard so yes you did, shut up.

Nah, CTEball is easily worse than all those lmao. It's honestly worse than most blood sports like boxing because most people go into blood sports knowing that being punch drunk is a thing while CTEball could become relatively safe as a form of no-tackle gridiron football but purposely chooses to expose their predominately POC players to permanent brain damage so their predominately white audience can enjoy the spectacle.

  • How many people have died or had brain injuries or other injuries for the rest of their life from DnD? How many jingoistic military displays of propaganda precede Magic The Gathering shows? Is there a major culture and industry of gambling around TTRPGs? How many DnD groups are owned by billionaire zionists that own stadiums and control municipal politics? This is just idealist flattening without any accounting for the horror that is real world American sport culture, the torture chamber and exploitation they put children and young adults through and all of the resources stolen from education for sportsball (i'll say it)

You're having a whole ass debate in your head with someone, fabricating arguments they never actually said that you can refute, and then telling them to shut up. huh

Also the degree to which most hobbies, including DnD are made into a religion is nothing in comparison to Amurikkkan football, which is on an entirely different social level in the US, especially among CHUDS. It's an absurd comparison.

I singled this out because it was the topic of the conversation. And I haven't personally met the people who do that with Magic or D&D, though I know they exist. Also Magic and D&D don't come with as many concussions or long-term health issues for the players.

    I-was-saying

Fewer and farther between than football by a long shot
