He’s basing his picks on whether they’ve been on tv enough for their name to sound vaguely familiar to him. He’s choosing his cabinet the way most people vote.

Miller falling into proverbial lava and a more aggressive, delusional lickspittle like Inferno replacing him actually sounds more likely than him just keeping his job for four years.

Jake is both Trump and RFK. A bullet grazed his head leading to him getting a worm in his brain. Marco is Anthony Scaramucci.

I kind of empathize because Animorphs, Star Trek, Simpsons and Beast Wars permanently imprinted on my brain in a similar way. The difference is that I know to compartmentalize my child-brain and not trivialize adult issues by publicly saying things like Steve Miller is the Skorponok to Trump’s Megatron, regardless of how true that statement is.

Even when I was a lib, it chaffed me that they changed the violent uprising/riot from the end of the book to blowing up a single empty building and taking to the streets in an unrealistically controlled, directed manner. It’s been a while, but I think the monologue even implied that the country’s government isnt even being overthrown, just reforming as a liberal democracy with this single bombing acting as a “warning” towards them.

It reminded me of the V for Vendetta movie where they bent the universe on a way that’s didn’t make sense so they could make it about bush doing 9/11

If he’d just thrown in a “now beat it, buster” there’d be no recovery

A Thiel/Vance vs Musk power struggle over who can wield more influence over the puddle of tapioca that is Trump’s mind is a possibility I had not considered, but it is extremely stupid and so will probably happen.

You’re probably joking, but I actually just shuddered.

The misery of gamers isn’t that surprising to me. A lot of them probably didn’t start gaming because they were particularly drawn to it, there was just nothing else to do.
