That P R E S T I G E T V viking show that featured the
look was farcically awful to me, and it was rich how the usual "historical accuracy"
enforcers were silent about it. I've even gotten some people claiming that "we can't be sure" how vikings really had their hair done up but I highly doubt they had the equipment to maintain that look while raiding even if they knew about it and wanted to. I know it encouraged a lot more chuds to pick up the look, too.
