She says many people inheriting their genetics from east Asia cannot pick up on it well with their nose. But other than this minority, most people can.

You can buy the molecule alone, by itself with no additions, simply to enhance your smell without adding anything else.

so i like cilantro but i can absolutely smell cilantro in some soaps and detergents, i have to assume the "tastes like soap" gene is something different than whatever i got going on but either way it's a funky coincidence
