- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

Can the Governor of Texas unilaterally declare Jasmine Crockett as dead and appoint someone else to hold her seat?
There would be all kinds of abuses if Governors could do as you suggest.
Is Jasmine Crocket actually dead? Because Mitch is actually dead.
It's irrelevant if she's actually dead. If the Governor of Texas declares her dead, he can replace her. Because apparently governors can now unilaterally declare people dead.
Declaring the seat vacant due to someone being dead isn’t the same as declaring someone dead. Literally anyone in that situation has the ability to resolve everything by showing up and saying “I am inarguably alive.” Is asking someone in a position of power and governance to have some demonstrable level of not being dead when they are obviously fucking dead just too much for democratic decorum to handle?
You're an idiot that's not how it works. If somebody isn't seen in public isn't talked to and can't appear in public then they can then be declared dead.
