Why does CAH, a hugely profitable game producer, need to crowd fund a comedy statue that will get them loads of publicity?
Yeah, why don’t they just quietly do it in private and not tell everybody about it?

Maybe they have employees to pay and fucking with billionaires and the right is something that desperately needs organization and enactment by people with lots of outreach but is ultimately up to all of us working together?

Because it gives them loads more of publicity, also people loves to be involved if they have a chip in it.
Why do people buy subscriptions for the biggest streamers, earning 10s of thousands of dollars in ad revenue each month? Because they want to be a part of it, they want to chip in to let the show go on
For the same reason they crowdfunded The Hole.
