The administration argues that relying on imported metals could reduce demand for American-made materials, leaving the US with less domestic production and fewer critical supplies in the event of a national emergency.

And because brass instruments are made mostly from copper and zinc, they have been swept into the same net as fire extinguishers, floor safes, electrical cables, welding-machine parts, and tanker trailers.

I cannot understand why Trump just says "Do these things that break the law" and everyone just fucking does it.

I was actually shocked that he didn't just coerce everyone into halting birthright citizenship

I mean, didnt he? He just put out an executive order to attack birthright citizenship immediately after and in response to the supreme court upholding that its a constitutional right. He doesnt give af what courts say, or the law says.
