Bowling together. (And a lot of other social things that are a result of a lack of trust, not lacking trust directly related to said activity... unless you're counting high cost/private equity as part of broken trust)
How is bowling together bad because you can’t trust people? I mean how do you cheat at bowling? Sorry but I’m confused what you were trying to say

I feel like I covered it in the other half of my comment. See also Bowling Alone for further context. Car-centric living (and sprawl) is a big part of it in the US.
bowling is boring
I don't actually care about it either (or any sport, really) but it was once a symbol for social connection, and y'know the book Bowling Alone.
and the flip side of what that book doesn't talk about is those social connections were fostered by homogeneous communities where everyone was christian and white and had the same cultural and media consumption backgrounds.
we don't live in that world anymore and haven't for 30 years. and hardy anyone other than boomers wants to go back to that.
We can have the community of ye olden pre internet tymes without the racism. Thats what I advocate for. I do want to go back to those times, while keeping the social progresses we've made.
