Yeah so like, what's happening at this point? I feel like everyone just kinda moved onto other things. Last year we at least had some big protests and stuff, then we argued online about whether protests did anything. Then ice started gunning random people down and everyone's just doing...nothing?
Protests are a warning that we'll get violent if the thing we're protesting continues. In this day and age it always continues, so the only question is whether we'll up the ante or fold. In this day and age we always fold.
No change will happen so long as those in power don't fear us the way they feared the torches and pitchforks wielded when necessary by our forefathers. We inherited their windup, but not their followthrough.
We were controlled. Mitigated. Silenced.
