If the DPRK gets in this mix the US will unleash. Drones are checkers, MOABs/JDAM are chess. HIMARS as far as you can see and Patriots/Iron Dome/CIWS. You won’t be able to get a fruit fly in.

And what if we deploy a carrier into the Black Sea.

Game over.

So did North Korea actually send troops to Russia the first time they were talking about this? It sounds absolutely made up but I also didn't think Russia would actually invade so idk anymore.

On April 2025, DPRK confirmed that it deployed troops to the Kursk region of Russia, to defend the region from Ukrainian attacks. I posted DPRK's full statement on the link below. Also DPRK built a museum to honor the troops who were deployed to the Kursk region. KCNA has published multiple articles related to the construction of the museum.

The portion that I quoted says that DPRK only deployed troops to Russian territory, not Ukrainian territory, so that DPRK is compliant with international law.

The military activities of the armed forces of the Republic conducted within the boundary of the Russian Federation fully conform to all the provisions and the spirit of the UN Charter and other international laws and the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia and serve as a model example and an excellent model of the most faithful expression of action to implement them.

Under the order of the head of state, the sub-units of the armed forces of the Republic regarded the territory of Russia as the one of their country and proved the firm alliance between the two countries of the DPRK and Russia and recorded legendary tales of military feats with their high will of defence, the do-or-die spirit and practical combat action accompanied by sacrifice.

More legal than literally any time Euro nations send troops to places the US invades.

North Korean newspapers confirmed it iirc, I believe they signed a mutual defense pact

The DPRK sent troops to the region of Russia that is internationally recognized as Russia (not the new regions of Russia annexed by Russia but still claimed by Ukraine) after the Ukrainian invasion and incursion there. They left after Russia liberated that region and both countries have erected memorials.
