People close to me say the n-word as a racial slur, and this has been happening often recently. It's been directed toward me also. I don't support this use of the n-word; I completely avoid saying myself.

I usually avoid saying or thinking it. it doesnt come to mind, but once when I was a kid, i said it to a black person and never got a chance to apologize.I feel really bad about it to this day. that being said, I have, since, learned about the trials and tribulations that black people had to go through as a race and educated myself about the history of black rights. there is a really good Tiktok, and maybe other platforms, account I follow that is really good at telling you real african-american history and she is wonderful. her account is @ashleytheebarroness if anyone is interested in learning this side of history. if you despise Tiktok like many do, she might have a similar account name on Youtube.
