Simple solution: don't go to Tim's. It's been shit for like 20 years already anyway.
I tried Tim Hortons for the first time about 7 years ago. Everyone told me that they were so excited for me because they could never relive that first time again. They told me that they had it so often that it lost its luster. I'd heard so much about Tim Hortons that I could hardly contain my excitement.
I tried it and politely told everyone it was fine. I tried it 7 times from 5 different stores. At the end of my trip, I was able to tell everyone that they hadn't become more jaded but that Tim Hortons just sucked.
Updoot for the name alone. But yeah, once upon a time it was pretty good but it was still just sandwiches, soup, coffee and donuts. Not that big a deal. Now it's straight up bad.

Exactly. The last time anything there was good was when they were still baking everything in house. So, like, 2003.
honestly if you want shitty mud coffee just get it at McDonalds. you'll get slightly more mud for like 30 to 40 cents less.
McDonald's (last I checked) got the contract that Tim's coffee used to have. So it actually is Tim's coffee pre-2010s.
Buy from your local coffee shop though eff these jokers.

It's largely momentum and nostalgia for a time when it was actually decent.
Anywhere makes better donuts. Don't drink coffee but people complain about it all the time but still go there.
Coffee isn’t great, but for fast food the price/quality is one of the better ones.
History. Nostalgia. Convenience. Also branding.
It's only popular with middle aged white people who dilute their shit coffee with milk and sugar. Double-double is fucking disgusting.
How can the canonical Canadian donut shop have such a shit maple glaze?
