We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.
If need be, there are also bans: 3 days for lighter offenses, 7 or 14 days for bigger offenses, and permanent bans for people who don't show any willingness to participate productively. If we think the ban reason is obvious, we may not specifically write to you.

I used to think like you, but I looked into most of the claims and found it to not be an issue. I now have a wireless Logitech mouse (not an advertisement, as the scroll wheel has some issues).
The latency is not noticeable (supposedly lower than wired IIRC). I have never experienced dropout on my mouse.
The battery lasts for about two weeks usually, and I'm a heavy user. The mouse is a few years old.
Plugging it in is trivial, and it just becomes a wired mouse if I need to use it while charging.
Yes, it'll eventually effectively be unusable, but this is true for every device. The battery is not going to be the thing that causes me to replace this.
Also, the weight is very low. I'm pretty sure this is the lightest mouse I've ever owned.
Privacy? Sure, I guess. I'm carrying around a cell phone though. If I need to go dark then I've got to replace a ton of stuff.
Security? Again, sure, but I've got bigger issues than my mouse.
As for the benefits, it is actually pretty nice. I have a mouse bungee from when I was wired only. It now holds the wire for my mouse, so it's easy to grab when I need it. It still has a lot more resistance than wireless, to the point I almost only ever watch media when I want to charge, because I don't feel like gaming while wired. Again, I was a wired-only advocate for a while. This resistance wasn't a concern until I got rid of it. You don't even notice it until it's gone.
