I can't think of a more useless "skill" than "being good at AI"
There is useful skill likes writing prompts in such a way that the agent keeps itself busy while you take an unofficial break. But it's all pretty obvious.
also there's a slight learning curve in figuring out stuff like when it's latched on to some specific bit of info that, through interrogation, has turned out to be irrelevent, or things like that, but it's literally nothing you can't figure out within a few instances of using it and absolutely not worth a divorce to acquire the knowledge of
I'm putting stuff like "AI whisperer" on my resume but it's only because I DON'T want calls back r/n I just want that easy unemployment paycheck
Oh, you'll get the calls. Middle-management and up absolutely fucking ADORE that shit right now. The honeymoon period is not over, plus they are clueless as always to what it actually takes to get the job done.
If you don't want calls, you should say you hate "AI" (include the quotes) and will never use it. Also couldn't hurt to prompt an "AI" to write you a résumé that it would never hire someone for. Since the bots are being used to filter applications, they are—very ironically—pretty good at knowing what criteria will and won't get you through the filter. Probably the only actually good use for the things right now: using the bots to talk to the bots. LMFAO.
I heard if you're savvy enough you can make the AI go in a loop while you WFH and do whatever.
