Alt: bluesky screenshot. The text of the post reads: "Someone please pay me to cover nothing but rural festivals I'm having THE TIME OF MY LIFE at the Elkhorn Rib Festival".

The post includes a photo of a woman with glasses wearing a pink t-shirt that says "Anal Bead Tug o' War Champion". She is standing outdoors under a canopy or tent, tilting her head back and drinking out of a large glass bottle of Evan Williams. In the background, other festival attendees and camping equipment are partially visible.

Rural Wisconsin might as well be the south.

Wisconsin isn't that bad, is it? Maybe they will have good cheese to try. I wouldn't wanna live there being a red state and all, but surely visiting there might be a fun time. Who knows.

Ohhh wait, you probably thought that when I said "southern" I was talking about this event in particular. I was just speaking generally and may have went a little off-topic there. Sorry about that that.

However, I'm sure the BBQ is still good even in states that aren't well known for it. Basically anywhere in rural America will have a bunch of talented old folks making amazing food for festivals like these (and no, im not talking about the anal bead ones here)
