Smh when people find it easier to believe in elves than black people
Or potatos in medieval fantasy. Medieval Europe absolutely had more black people than potatos, because the number of potatos in medieval Europe was zero. But somehow nobody in the "muh realism" crowd gets upset when Sam cooks aftercare potatos for Frodo.
To be fair, Middle Earth isn't necessarily Medieval Europe, but Samwise Gamgee was described in the books as having darker skin.
Okay but the potato thing does bother me.

No no I think they'd be angry if Drow had the same features as Black humans.
Well, there are black elves in Rings of Power, the Amazon LOTR show, and the reactions online were exactly what you expect
