I never understood gas grills. If You need temperature control and no smoke, just use a stove.

or like, get an electric grill and an extension cord lmao
americans just have a fucking bizzare obsession with gas

It has a bigger area for cooking than a typical stove. Plus, you can cook other stuff on the stove while using a gas grill.

I like gas because it’s quick and easy. But I can also appreciate there are times when you want to use a charcoal grill when you have the time and desire. Everything has its place.

They're just easier.

But as for stove, that's an entirely different way of cooking. And maybe you don't want to turn your indoor stove/oven on in the heat. Someone once told me Texan BBQ originated because they didn't want to add heat to the house.

Why my gas stove instead of the gas grill?

Gas grills still give a smoky flavour because of the open flame. And you can cook like 25 burgers in 15 minutes with minimal effort and no mess.

Gas grills specifically do not add a smokey flavor to the food cooked inside. "Taste the meat, not the heat."

Why would You need to cook 25 burgers in 15 minutes unless You're running a McDonald's?

[-] sudoMakeUser@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 days ago

For when I have friends and family at my house.

[-] hOrni@lemmy.world -1 points 3 days ago

They must not like You very much since they are only willing to hang around for 15 minutes at a time.

[-] sudoMakeUser@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 days ago

No, I want to spend time hanging out with them instead of sitting the kitchen for an hour or two making food for that many people.

It's called a party bro

Edit: sorry "was" called a party, no one has a party and feeds 25 people beef. Too expensive

It’s like the 20-50 feral hogs situation all over again
