Hey everybody. Hope you are all doing okay and staying cool during the summer heat. This week I finished my playthrough of the Persona 3 remake. Overall, I enjoyed the game and cast of characters. Unlike Persona 5 (my only prior experience with the series), I liked the life sim stuff over the dunegon crawling, mainly due to Tartarus being very repeatative with sparse enemy variety. I ended up 4 ranks short of maxing out all Social Links, which really irritated me. My one really big gripe is that

spoilerI really didn't like that the protagonist dies at the very end. I perfectly understand that it fits the themes of the game about life being fleeting, so you better spend it with the people you love, and the ultimate Persona you can fuse is Messiah, who gave his life to save mankind the way the protagonist does, but it really bummed me out. I guess since ive only played Persona 5 that my expectations were aligned with that game's rather cheery "Its not goodbye, its see you later" ending
Anyway, I am doing a NG+ run to max out all social links. Besides P3, my brother has returned from his vacation, and we have resumed our playthrough of Elden Ring seamless coop. We are nearing the end of the base game, but I am planning on forcing him to buy the DLC to play when we are done with that. I hope everyone has a good week

Last week when I was sick I blazed through Sprawl. It's a boomer shooter with slo-mo and wallrunning like Titanfall 2 (from what I understand, I haven't played Titanfall 2 yet). Ended up beating the game in one sitting so I almost did it again the next night.

You can almost play through the game without slo-mo at all too. I use it more like ADS in a regular shooter. So instead of staying in slow motion for a while, wall run and jump over a guy with a riot shield, slow motion to line up the perfect headshot, then back to normal for everyone else.

Fun game. Does the modern Doom thing where you only have like 20 bullets for each gun, and capacity doesn't get upgraded so upping the difficulty is also a balance in resource management. Guns felt a little off though. The starting pistols aren't hitscan so you need to lead your shots ever so slightly, and have no punch unless you're lining up headshots. The railgun equivalent also felt off. Maybe that's because you can't adjust the crosshair too much, I like it a little transparent so you can aim over longer distances easier, I just kept missing things even at a standstill.

It has been out for a while so you can get it cheap, and a new Sprawl game is coming out soon, they had a demo up for Nextfest
