I'm currently trying to write up some skits to do comedy from for youtube and thought I'd get ideas for characters and settings from google's AI; I ask about the character types and the dynamic between some of my favorite characters from different sitcoms and the AI just regurgitates ideas it stole from those shows but with a slightly different skin.
I'm not as clear-headed as I was in my youth (I'm going to be doing a sleep study soon to see if I have sleep apnea, so if that's what I have, hopefully this'll fix it) so it's hard for me to hold an idea in my head for types of characters and why the dynamic between these different personality types makes such good comedy, and I thought I'd ask AI to give me personality types and different combinations of personality types plus settings to see what might help or inspire, and I used my favorite shows to try and get ideas from. It basically took what was in those shows, gave them a slightly different coat and then handed that back to me.
It's given me some interesting ideas when I DON'T mention possible inspirations, but really only some. Seems AI isn't going to be a good source for ideas for characters.
Well... yeah.
Remember, this isn't a "thinking" software. Its a word calculator. If you were to prompt it about the "US TV show Friends" and the character of "Ross", it will mention the character and on/off again love interest "Rachael" as that is a very statically likely series of words that are associated with the words "US, TV show, Friends, character Ross".
