It's a very convenient costume to wear if you're a right wing actor paid to make liberals look bad. Remember how much they capitalised on "look at this hysterical woman behaviour" back around and before gamergate and half of those weren't even real?
Is it believable? Yeah. But it's also incredibly easy to just make up stupid shit with an actor and make all the hogs froth at the mouth. I'm convinced that Trump's accusation of paid actors is in fact a massive quantity of projection over what's going on in right wing media and they're doing it for practically everything.
