I should count myself lucky that the most i ever really dealt with in college was the one history class where the professor (who also played in a local punk band) was very much a "It would be cool if communism worked, but like, it just doesn't" type
He was pretty cool otherwise
Made me vegan peanut butter cookies after I said I couldn't find good vegan cookies
I find conservative coded deeply passionate nut job type social studies teachers' way more tolerable than clueless dorks like that. Everyone knows your Korean War vet history professor is a little dated and quacky, people like your history professor have a much more heinous and far-reaching role in closing minds. He sounds like if Vice News was a person. I would've spat those cookies back in his face and given him a swirlie
