I'm really lost on what exactly is being referred to here as it was a pretty tame show. Sure, I haven't watched it in a few years so I might not remember, but by no means would I consider it "politically incorrect" even in this day and age.
I think he's referring to his own character, Dwight.
I interpret Dwight to be right-wing-libertarian character. Dwight is always an ass-kisser to his boss and loves corporate hierarchy. Dwight hates the government and government regulations, in one episode he brags about overusing pesticides. Dwight is obsessed with traditions and family values, grew up on a dutch farm. Dwight is obsessed with rugged individualism and self-reliance. Dwight quotes Mussolini when he gives a speech in one episode. Dwight also loves cops.
The Office was a mostly tame show. I remember season 1 being the most problematic and then the show mellowing out. This is probably meant to show character growth.
Rainn Wilson seems to have a persecution complex. I suspect that he's criticizing "the left" because he's pro-Israel. I saw another clip from this year on reddit where he supports the Iran war and wishes that Iran was overthrown.
Does he not understand that Dwight was a parody? The woke mind virus would make that character more popular, not less.
He was tricked by Jim to use the Mussolini speech.
