I do plan on running some emulation tests eventually, the only problem with this laptop is it's got 1 usb 2.0, 1 3.0 and type c ports, and my xbox pad is usb and those two slots are being occupied by a kb and mouse.
USB can be split with a USB hub. Or universal laptop docking stations use the USB C port. Or there is a t480s specific laptop dock. USB 3.0 hub is $10. USB-c dock is $20-$50.

If you can swing it, even a cheap USB C dock (with HDMI) will be worth it over a hub, since you could just plug into a TV for a second/primary monitor and sit back with a controller too.
