That LEDs are more dangerous than incandescent and the light manufacturers are purposefully putting their fingers on the scales to make LEDs universal because they generate more profit off of them being in everything at the cost of public safety.
For car lights they're definitely dangerous. It's possible to make them identical to incandescent in brightness and color but there's no regulation so now we have an asshole who-can-be-blindingest car owner battle.
That's how big light bulb wants it! Zero regulation means they can sell you literal fucking rays of sun with the same efficiency as a normal light bulb while still advertising "LEDs are more efficient than other light bulbs so you SAVE MORE MONEY BUYING OUR TETRABRITEBEEMS 40,000!"
I mean they definitely have better efficiency than an incandescent or phosphorescent light bulb. that's like one thing you can for sure say about them. it would actually be quite difficult to build an LED that had the heat output of a literal burning filament.
how? like in car headlights?
Sure yeah
brighter lihts hurt people's eyes when driving, causing night time accidents
yeah there's just so many other LED contexts, i was worried a stationary LED room light could have a unexplored health risk lol
BLU LED SCREEN LIGHTS ARE FRYING OUR EYES, FOLKS! IT'S BIG BULB'S MASTER PLAN TO TURN US ALL INTO MOLE PEOPLE!
maybe fucking up your sleep but if you're not exhausted you're probably fine
How are they dangerous?
Good point I definitely hate the super bright headlights!
They're safer in brake and indicator lights than incandescent bulbs are though since they come on much faster and give more time for cars behind to react
