I don't see a feasible way to collect human urine with our current toilet systems.
So what's the point of this research?
Toilet water. Sink water. Shower water. It all runs together to waste treatment centers.
Same pipes.
I do believe human excrement and food materials are filtered out and dried and used as fertilizer.
But I don't think it's possible to filter out urine.
Easier to collect from animal farm factories. Which, I do believe is done. (?)

Eh, you can totally do it just not at the scale that we treat waste water.
e.g. require portapotties built after 2026 have separate urinal liquid containers. You get half the piss from burning man and bonaroo alone and you can fill at least a few local reseviors with piss, and that'snjust a couple weeks. It would be a meaningful amount of piss.
You guys don't have piss bottles everywhere?
