Wtf kind of datacenter do you have to get a $200 internet bill?
That's probably multiple phone lines. Verizon is a mobile carrier as well as an ISP.
My phone bill is also around $200, but I'm paying for 6 lines of service.
Yeah I pay 240 a month to Verizon but have 5 phones and a tablet.
Dang I thought I had it bad at $160 a month
This isn't bad. Use to pay 700 month with US Cellular.
This is insane price. In my country internet is so cheap, it is possible to get an unlimited mobile internet for entire year for just over $100 (converted from local currency).
Oh thats not my internet that just my phones. My 1 gig internet is like 140 a month.
Based one-upper
In my case, that's two phone lines
My internet bill is $210... Includes three cell phones on unlimited plans so I guess it's really more like $70, maybe op is in a similar situation.
Damn that's crazy, mine is ~30eur for phone lease (Pixel 8 pro) and unlimited plan 😬
*cries in Canadian
What provider do you use? I'm with Freedom, pay $45 a month and have over 130GB
I bought my phone outright because I don't want to give it back, I'd rather it just be my phone and when I'm done with it, it will live in the box with it's brethren of the past 20 years.
Err by lease I mean I'm paying it monthly and will own it after
For a while my phone/internet was a bit cheaper... Then T-Mobile decided autopay on a credit card no longer qualifies as autopay (for a discount) despite texting me each month to say my autopay went through.
Verizon and AT&T are some of the worst services for deals, but they are the most popular here so most people don't bother looking for anything else. I got my parents on google fi and they got 2 new phones for free (i think pixel 8) and costs them $50 per month for the 2, not unlimited but they dont use much since they use home wifi for 90% of the use and if they do go over the limit its just $10 more that month.
I've had fi since the beginning and I think I pay $45 for 3 lines unlimited. Sadly if I ever leave I'll never get that deal again.
Mine is $300 for 2gigabit down and maybe 400mb up. Comcast sucks
I've had AT&T fiber running across the street in my neighborhood for years but they weren't able to connect anyone on my side. T-Mobile fiber came through earlier this year though so now I'm getting 1gig up/down for $70. I was worried about stupid CGNat shit but I haven't had any issues with routing and having a decent upload speed makes it so much nicer when I do have to remote into my house or pull a large file when I'm away.
