People who believe in magic and are also right wing psychos fill me with a rage and disgust I don’t quite understand. It’s like you can’t be a piece of garbage AND a dorky flake.
Kinda hand in glove, isn't it? If your already believing one set of nonsense pablum about the world, then your not exactly going to be predisposed against the other.
And its not new, either. I remember hearing something about the Natzis planning an expedition to the north pole so they could recruit the help of Sinter Klaws.
I’d never thought of it in those terms, but racial essentialism uses a magic-is-real kind of logic. Theyre both superficial rationalizations.
