Here's a podcast suggestion (1h 37m): https://guerrillahistory.libsyn.com/understanding-the-conflict-in-occupied-palestine-history-geopolitics-w-rabab-abdulhadi-ariel-salzmann
Guerrilla History also has many other podcast episodes on this topic, which might even be more suitable, but I have only heard this one. The hosts are MLs though, so maybe not as lib-friendly as it could be. The guests on this episode are academics in both the US and Canada, so maybe that will be a plus for this person?
Hmm. Lib might be a red herring. This person is very disillusioned with the Democrats and admitted they needed to learn more about Israel/Palestine. So this might be good. Sometimes with ML podcasts with academic guests the ML hosts pull back a little but ask the right questions and get the right academics to ask those questions to. So I'll forward it along. I think this person is in that wayward period after realizing the dems are ghouls. This could be a soft launch into more socialist thinking.
Awesome, I hope she finds it compelling and educational, and becomes more inspired to learn about Marxism and anti-imperialism/anti-colonialism. You're doing good work, comrade!
And yeah, the hosts do kinda pull back and let the guests do their thing. They bring in questions every 20 or so minutes to re-center things on class and the effects of historical events on the masses (and vice versa), but in a very natural way.
