How about an audiobook?

How about an audiobook?

That's a good idea! Yeah in sure audio books are acceptable.
Here's a podcast suggestion (1h 37m): https://guerrillahistory.libsyn.com/understanding-the-conflict-in-occupied-palestine-history-geopolitics-w-rabab-abdulhadi-ariel-salzmann
Guerrilla History also has many other podcast episodes on this topic, which might even be more suitable, but I have only heard this one. The hosts are MLs though, so maybe not as lib-friendly as it could be. The guests on this episode are academics in both the US and Canada, so maybe that will be a plus for this person?
Hmm. Lib might be a red herring. This person is very disillusioned with the Democrats and admitted they needed to learn more about Israel/Palestine. So this might be good. Sometimes with ML podcasts with academic guests the ML hosts pull back a little but ask the right questions and get the right academics to ask those questions to. So I'll forward it along. I think this person is in that wayward period after realizing the dems are ghouls. This could be a soft launch into more socialist thinking.
Awesome, I hope she finds it compelling and educational, and becomes more inspired to learn about Marxism and anti-imperialism/anti-colonialism. You're doing good work, comrade!
And yeah, the hosts do kinda pull back and let the guests do their thing. They bring in questions every 20 or so minutes to re-center things on class and the effects of historical events on the masses (and vice versa), but in a very natural way.
Can't think of a specific one off the top of my head but Citations Needed is sadly full of great episodes on this.
The most recent episode highlighted the contradictions between the media talking about Hamas using human shields vs the US using the exact same strategies against Iran with no publication drawing the same connection
Probably a bad suggestion but the only one I can think of is bad hasbara. I'm sure there's other pods with dedicated episodes that would be good like citations needed
I’d recommend audiobooks of “Searching for Palestine” by Najla Said, and “100 years war for Palestine.” By Rashid Khalidi. I’ll do a quick search they probably each did some podcast appearances when these books were released.
Here's a podcast that is very lib friendly and has a lot of episodes on Palestine. Maybe pick one that doesn't have socialism or Marxism in the title. These can be found on all the podcast apps.
Shaun's video isn't really a video in the way that people who don't like videos don't like them.
I had this post open in an old tab and ran across it again while cleaning up. This comment was written for someone else, but I’m just copying the whole thing in case any of the podcast recommendations are useful:
This isn’t a substitute for reading theory, but some podcasts that might help with some of the basics in a more entertaining format include: Citations Needed, Red Menace, and The Deprogram.
Here’s a selection of episodes that might help on Palestine & not both-sidesing genocide in particular, though I haven’t listened to any of these recently:
Citations Needed:
Red Menace:
The Deprogram (I haven’t listened to these two yet, but am assuming they’re decent):
Podcast recommendations, episode discussions, and struggle sessions about which shows need to be cancelled.
