Star Trek, the Matrix, Dune... lots of sci-fi, really
Just about all scifi
DOCTOR WHO, especially around the 13th and 15th doctor, arguable 15th doctor was weak actor compared the other ones, and also bad writing.
Is Dune leftist? I see it more as a scientific work dissecting power structures and human psychology, but not really criticizing those power structures and providing a better alternative.
Exactly, is Dune leftist?
It was embraced by the Left of its time for being so ecologically-forward. I think one of Dune's central themes is criticizing power from the reader's perspective - we know that Paul and Leto II's plans will have disastrous results, but even with psychic knowledge theyre still short sighted.
Idk. Calling it "leftist" is maybe a stretch, but its left-adjacent id say
