We do, but when their eyes glaze over you realize they've stopped paying attention

kind of a "boy who cried wolf" situation on that one

you have misunderstood me.

i think the typical u.s. amerikkkan is too ignorant to distinguish between us and liberals. liberal imperialist and fascist imperialists have called everything from liberals to communists "nazis" for the last 70 years; this is ultimately what people mean when they talk about the normal person's lack of response at just calling someone a nazi and moving on. it's not inaccurate, but it still fails to be communicative to the typical u.s. amerikkkan.
