It's all a show, our prime minister recently stated that no one is above the law, so they had to at least arrest some people. Obviously they won't face any consequences, Mandelson for example was arrested at his house at 5pm on a Monday afternoon.

If this was a real arrest, it would have been front door smashed in at 5am. The fact that it happened at 5pm on a Monday afternoon, means they had to clear out the police station of all the peasants, before they brought in the Lord, can't have anyone shouting 'Nonce' in his general direction, he'd have sat in a cell, with the door open, given cups of tea and anything else he desired, probably his favourite Teddy, and his Thomas the Tank Engine slippers.
