Today, the Global Sumud Flotilla announced the largest coordinated humanitarian intervention for Palestine in history.

On March 29, 2026, a unified maritime flotilla and overland humanitarian convoy will depart simultaneously, mobilizing thousands from over 100 countries in a coordinated, nonviolent response to genocide, siege, mass starvation, and the destruction of civilian life in Gaza.

“This is the enemy we are confronting. It’s not a person. It’s a way of life that determines the future of other nations.” — Saif Abukeshek, GSF Steering Committee

The announcement was made at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, grounding this mission in a legacy of global solidarity and civil resistance.

This mission brings together:

  • 1,000+ doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers
  • Educators, engineers, and rebuilding teams
  • War crimes and ecocide investigators

This isn’t just about sailing. It’s about the world rising together.

I wish they could be bringing a coordinated liberation response, but it's nevertheless something what they are trying to do and it's brave to be doing it in the face of such a violent settler entity. May their efforts help Palestine live on. 🙏

If only nuclear missiles weren't a thing... If only the deadliest and most heavily armed empire and its EU dogs weren't supporting in every aspect this genocidal empire, maybe there could have been an armed liberation coming from abroad.

Sadly, I came to the understanding that the US and the EU need to go bankrupt and implode so that Israel ceases to exist. Even if Iran bombs ISrael to oblivion, the US and the EU will come back to rebuild them at the cost of their own people.

Yeah, that's a fair point. I'm not sure of the exact wording, but hasn't the US basically called israel its aircraft carrier in the middle east before? In that context, it shows how closely linked it is to imperial power there. If it wasn't the state of israel, it would probably be NATO bases trying to occupy and genocide (though the difference doesn't seem that distinct, just israel is entrenched in a way that military bases alone would have a hard time doing).

Biden said something similar here:

And yes. The entity is heavily linked to the empire to the point that we can call the entity an extension of the empire. If the empire ceases to exist, the entity will evaporate. One clue that lead me to believe this was the heavy amount of support that the zionist entity had during the 12 day war with Iran. Lots of warplanes, anti missile system, aircrafts intercepting missiles and the vast amount of territory used to defend Israel. It was unreal. Now imagine if a country wanted to invade Israel... It is literally calling for war against the US and the EU.

i don't think that'd be all that practical, but if they could do a somewhat Houthi style blockade, but in the Mediterranean, I think that could do some real damage to Israel, and have a bigger effect than what they do right now.

I hope they'll get to a point where they aren't just donating vessels to Israel, and getting arrested. It's just like how we criticize liberals in America that show up to a protest with the specific goal of being arrested, they can be cool people that believe the right thing, and they can be doing more than basically anyone else in the West, but that doesn't mean it's a perfect strategy.

there should totally be a liberation flotilla but who will provide the arms, who will fight, who will give them a navy?

I think I'm just having a wishful thinking moment combined with wanting to emphasis the importance of armed struggle. It's hard knowing that the forces of liberation aren't organized for such, while genocide rages on.

But to answer the question literally, for it to make a big enough difference and not just be adventurism, it'd probably have to be from the same kind of places (like China) that are locked into a policy of non-interference and sovereignty in order to uphold the burgeoning multi-polar alternative to imperialism. So I don't see how without triggering an actual WW3.
