There should be a ceremonial bonfire, even though we can't burn these accursed things down. I assume said bonfire would be illegal in NYC but the bot would recommend doing it.
At an old job, we hated a release of our product so bad that when we finally deprecated it we printed out the source code and burned it.
I like your style.
While clankers are not completely immune to fire, I'd recommend a pair of extremely high voltage electrodes instead. It would make a very nice light show, and there will probably still be some fire.
