Wait until you see the clothing most people wear... and what they dress thier kids in. They even pay for the privilege.
You mean pageants?
I think they mean shirts and such with marketing shit on them. Like a shirt that mimics the package for Froot Loops or Oreos.
Even shirts with big stupid logos for the clothing brand, it's paying for the privilege of being a billboard.
Yeah to a point. Some brands with logos make good stuff. I've got an underarmor long sleeve shirt that fits me perfect and it's warm and made to last. It's got a small logo on the back of the neck, I don't mind. I'm not going to go buy a $40 t shirt with their logo huge on the front though.
And of course nike, Addis, sports franchises, universities... these are all for profit businesses who have tricked people intompaying to advertise for them.
I mean you could say that about band shirts too, but I wouldn't say they "tricked" you if it's something you consciously want to support. I feel sports teams and unis could fall under that too
Well the trick was establishing that you should pay them for it. If they were handing them out for free to thier supports in exchange for the advertising, than it wouldn't be a trick.
I have plenty of my university's clothes too. I have trouble with plain shirts, just don't like them. I need to find something better. But my university recently started offering online stuff. Suddenly most people know them for that, not for being a real in person engineering school. So they cheapened my degree to get more cash for themselves.
