Ok this is weird. Lurgy day 5ish. Have tested negative to COVID a couple of times. Just completly lost my sense of smell. Like I was cleaning out the kitty litter thinking it was weirdly not smelly. Can just get a whiff of eucalyptus oil if I basically shove it up my nose. Perfume - nothing. Cleaning alcohol - nothing. 😳😳😳
I had that, too, and couldn’t taste much. 5 tests over 5 days said no covid, but whatever it was was pretty bad
There's a RSV going around, it can do that too.
I recall many colds where I couldn't smell or taste very well but the Covid pandemic made me more aware of it as a symptom
It could be something else. But apparently the tests are less accurate with the newer strains. You might’ve been covided.
@imoldgreeeg are they old RATs?
No just bought them recently when I was starting to feel poorly. But who knows. I'm supposed to be on holiday next week so as long as it gets better soon I don't really care. I've kinda already called that I am WFH all week (and reduced hours when naps happen)
What about sense of taste?
Bit dull but not gone (yet).
All signs point to Covid
Yeah. That would also explain the ridiculous brain fog.....Well either way its a lot milder then the one time I had confirmed covid (hallucinating fever bad). All the better to stay at home in my oodie for the next cold days
@imoldgreeeg hope you feel better soon!
I have something I haven't been able to completely shake for a week and I can't be bothered getting new RATs and wondering if I should even bother with old ones... doesn't feel bad though and I'm a #novid but there's always a first time.
