It's referring to a scene involving Sam Riegel in the first Critical Role campaign. He's basically establishing he's a 'fan', though also being a Nazi is weird af.

I remember some YouTuber ranting about this. About how none of these people yelling about how their favorite games are going woke are actual players. I don't have any evidence either way, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these folks are just random alt-right wingnuts trying to stir shit up. (Or nowadays AI wingnuts.)

Kinda like ranting about movies and games "go woke, go broke" and yet these media end up being blockbusters. These alt right and AI shit stirrers have huge backing from billionaires who want to world to end up in fascism.
