Yes sadly Unilever is the parent company of B&J. As much as I would love to support B&J , Unilever is heavily invested in Israel. Unilever even fired the B&J CEO despite promising freedom of political expression of the brand.
Which makes this statement from the present board courageous in that they too could get fired.
But yeah, your ice cream $$ goes to Unilever.
Noteworthy is that Ben and Jerry is actively trying to decouple from Unilever.
Ironically, boycotting them is probably the best way to help them. By tanking their revenue, Unilever is more likely to get rid of them
