What is going on, why did everyone think Israel cheated (they absolutely did, no proof needed), why can't Iceland do better, why is Israel there, and why isn't the winner Stereo Love every year?

Nearly 400,000 people live in Iceland today — pretty small for a country but I could easily imagine a city of even half Iceland's population having a pretty lively music scene. There is indeed a lot of Icelandic music, and a lot of good Icelandic music, out there.
