Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. 12 points from the Australian public huh? Based on our last census religious reporting I’m calling bullshit or shenanigans here!spoiler
It's bullshit AND shenanigans. If the vote was legitimate, we likely would've made it to the Grand Final. Turns out we were rank 11 in our semi -- just outside the qualification rank -- and guess who dominated it. (Full results are on the ESC website). ESC has avoided a major disaster though. If the winner was different today the competition next year could have been unrecognisable in terms of participating countries and viewership.Edit: Fixed spoiler not spoilering on mobile.

Yeah Mrs b was surprised Sweden and Finland didn’t do better. Was trying to explain that’s what happens when someone sucks up all the votes.A lot of acts deserved better this year.
Be interested to see if the EBU do something, but I dunno what can actually be done short of kicking them out. And given they didn’t do that last year when they were a lot more justified, and that they resigned their major Jewish sponsor it’s a rock and a hard place of their own shitty decisions coming back to bite them.
