Honestly this is my view on this as well. This fight only becomes an issue if the humans mindlessly charge at the gorilla 1 at a time. With communication and a strategy of wearing the gorilla's energy down over time, it would be no contest. Persistence hunting is something humans can do given our mobility and endurance, we could do the same to a significantly less mobile creature. Once the gorilla is exhausted enough, it's raw strength doesn't really matter
