Hardest one i had was a ten page investigation of the World system of walleirstein that i finished in a day
Most fun one was the conection between México and Sichuan cuisine via the introduction of the capsicum
That second one actually sounds damn interesting. No idea what the world system of walleirstein is but I will look it up
Edit: ah yeah that sounds rough af for a single day affair 😬
can I read this? even if you have to dm me a copy
i never published it, but i used this article in my bibliografy that also talks about it https://worldhistoryconnected.press.uillinois.edu/12.3/wang.html
one fun fact is that at the start the chinese didnt like chilli only seeing it as a pretty plant, it wasnt until the Qing's new taxes on Salt that chilli was used by the lower classes as a replacement for salt in the internal provinces of Sichuan and Guizhou

Is that a real quote?
I used to love getting this dish called "Red Revolution" at a Chinese place that was near my apartment. It was basically fish and mixed seafoods in really spicy hot pot. Absolutely delicious peppery broth, so many whole red peppers in it. I miss that place, shame they got bought out and closed down.
I think so, it sounds like him and was pulled from the linked article
not many people know this, but The Weeknd's song "Can't Feel My Face" is about how much he enjoys Sichuan peppercorns
I am willing to accept this as fact without question actually
Very interesting stuff!
I second that request
