Isn't the Japan tariff 24%? Why would it go up from 400 to 650? China manufacturing also raising price?

Nintendo announced the price before the tariffs, one more point is that nintendo makes its consoles in vietnam-cambodia which were hit with 47% tariffs

So the switch 2 plus the 47% tariff ends up around 650 USD

He announced the tariffs after the price was announced. It just is that price because Nintendo is a capitalist company

Now that the tariffs are in play it could raise though
